Storytelling

The movie that I decided to choose was The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which is a Comedy-drama. This is one of my favorite movies because it’s so deep.   The movie is about a young boy named Charlie who is a shy teenager without friends that has just started high school. He misses his best friend, who had committed suicide, and he writes letters to an imaginary friend telling his feelings. Further into the movie, we find out that Charlie had a mental illness problem in his past. Soon Charlie befriends the veterans Patrick, who is gay, and his stepsister Sam, who he falls in love with (IMDb). Charlie is played by Logan Lerman, Patrick is played by Ezra Miller, and Sam is played by Emma Watson (IMDb). The movie was directed by Stephen Chbosky and was released on September 21, 2012 (IMDb).             The opening scene of this movie starts with Charley writing to his friend, which is his journal, about how his first day of school is probably going to go. He has no friends

Happiness   What is happiness? This question is asked a lot, but really no one has the true definition for it. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary happiness means  a state of well-being and contentment (1828)  Happiness can mean different things for different people, and I think that’s why people have such a hard time deciding what it means. Psychoanalyst and philosopher Adam Phillip stated, “Anyone who could maintain a state of happiness, given the state of this world, is living in a delusion.” This simply means that our world sucks, and if were happy living in it, then were just living a false life. I disagree strongly with this quote, honestly it makes me mad.                The world that we live in right now, has seen it’s better days. A lot of bad things are happening, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t be happy. For example, Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. A student came to school and shot 17 people and injured 17 people. I agree that this event

Is Walt Disney's body frozen and buried under Disney World? Growing up as a kid, we should all know who Walt Disney was and what he did. Walt invented Disney movies, Disney land, and Disney world. On December 15, 1966 Walt Disney died when his circulatory system collapsed. After that people claimed that he arranged for his body to be frozen and to be buried in a chamber right below the “Pirates of the Caribbean” attraction, so when the day came, they could fix his body and bring him back to life (Mikkelson 2007). Rumors can be true, but it all depends on the background and facts behind it. Is Walt Disney really buried below Disney World? While Walt Disney was alive, he did a lot of research on cryogenics. Cryogenics is the study of materials and their behavior at very low temperatures (Helmenstine 2017). Sometimes Walt would talk to his brother Roy about having himself froze, but Roy never really believed in what Walt said. This information came from Robert Mosley’s 1986 eff

Ethical Decision

My ethical dilemma was about three years ago, I was in stage 3 of my moral development, which is Good Interpersonal Relationships  (Behrens, Rosen 285).  The situation all started when Hannah, my by best friend since diapers, was living a rough life. Her mom turned into a alcoholic and her dad was an alcoholic as well. Hannah and I were in high school at the time, so we were just becoming teenagers. Slowly alcohol took over her mom's life. She was drinking during the day, drinking at night, passing out on the porch, and even a little abusive. I'll never forget when Hannah came over and told me that her mom slapped her. That's when I knew I had to get her out of there. I had to make the choice of either letting Hannah live with me, which would mean her being safe and her being in a good environment, or letting Hannah continue to live in a bad environment and put her at risk of getting hurt. If Hannah moved in with me, her mom may call the law on her or send her to her fat
